2017 - Current

Since his retirement, he is supporting the Piedmont Agency as a consultant for the internationalization of regional Aerospace SME's, he is President of the Technical Scientific Committee of the ITS Aerospace and Mechatronics of Piedmont, is providing lectures and support to the Padua and Leicester Universities. He is also a member of the Technical Committee of the Center for Near Space of the Italian Institute of the Future.

2014 - 2019

CTO of Thales Alenia Space Italy, Deputy CTO of the entire company and VP of R&D, Technology and Product Policy.

He was responsible for STEPS and STEPS 2 Piedmont Region Space Exploration Technology Projects and of the MIUR National Aerospace Cluster Project SAPERE. Active in the ECSS European Standardization activities he was Convenor of the Verification WG and member of System Engineering and Testing WG's. He represented TAS in the CTS of CIRA, in AIRI and CTNA.

December 2016

Retired from Thales Alenia Space.

After 41 years of Space experience covering different technical and management positions such as Director of AIT and Technical Director of Torino site working on several Space Projects such as Pressurized Modules, Scientific Satellites, Reusable Transport Vehicles, Exploration Probes, and Rovers.
Still involved in the NEREUS European initiative as co-chairman of the WG on Technologies from Space Exploration on behalf of the Piedmont Region. Co-founder of the Master Space Exploration and Developments Systems (SEEDS) of the Politecnico di Torino is external Professor of Space Systems Engineering , Space  Project Management and other courses and act also as co-chairman of the International WS of Verification and Testing of Space Systems as well as member of the Program Board of the Aerospace Testing Seminar in USA.

Joined Aeritalia as Thermal Control Engineer.

Aeritalia later Alenia Spazio, Alcatel Alenia Space and now Thales Alenia Space.
